Fan Greeting - Happy Birthday

Fan Greeting - Happy Birthday
#OPF035 Fan Greeting - Happy Birthday
In the Victorian Era, how a lady fluttered a fan was more than just a way of keeping cool - it was a subtle way of communicating with a potential suitor.  A handle touched to the lips invited a kiss.  The top of the fan skimming the eyes expressed regret or sorrow.  Since they were used to communicate, it was only natural that the fans evolved into some of the first greeting cards.  Our replicas are every bit as stunning and intricate as they were in Victorian days.  All Fan Greetings are die-cut and embossed in great detail on heavy eighteen point stock, just as the originals were from the turn-of-the-century.  Opening to approximately 11" x 7", they come individually shrink-wrapped.  When closed, they fit easily into the mailing envelope that's included with each fan.

This fan reads "Who knowing you, would ever miss the happy chance to wish you this Happy Birthday".

Perfect for giving or keeping ~ beautiful when framed for display or simply propped up on a vanity table!   Ideal for your Victorian, shabby chic, cottage, country, romantic or roses decor.
