I am so happy with the way this set came out - the pieces can be used separately, giving you many options and a very versatile item. I have taken a vintage metal cake saver cover, complete with a few little dings which attest to its past life, and given it a beautiful new life. Gorgeous hand painted pink roses surround the entire lid and are accented with just a touch of aqua on a white background for a beautiful watercolor effect. The plate is just stunning, very heavy glass with a floral design that really sparkles. It has etched glass accents and makes a beautiful serving piece all by itself. The cover isn't made to go with the plate but they sure look amazing together, especially with the coordinating glass knob on the lid. The pedestal is made of metal and wood and the plate has a raised lip on the bottom that fits perfectly over the pedestal base for a very stable piece. The total dimensions are approximately 12" tall and 13" in diameter. So gorgeous, you will love displaying this on your countertop as well as at your next party!
